It took us several hours to finish putting it together mostly because we don't often construct things. When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place.. I love the table and chairs. We have 2 that swivel and rock. They are very comfortable. I was disappointed in the color of the seat cushion. They are very well made, but the color is darker in person and also has a stripe. Will not look well with my outdoor carpet. These are beautiful, comfortable and well-made chairs. However, we are giving a 4 star rating because, although the chairs are on the pricey side, they were a lot of work to assemble.
