The classic style of this mailbox and post gives rise to its name. The conventional shape of our classic curbside mailbox is the only thing this mailbox has in common with a typical mailbox. This is one of our most popular mailboxes and post combinations because of its beautifully proportioned design and solidly made construction. The raised edge detailed ball topper caps off a tapered Ashland post with a fluted base that features deep and distinct shadow lines. The stainless-steel spring hinge and strong magnetic door latch will keep the door secure while the rustproof body construction creates a weather-resistant mailbox. Roomy and spacious, the classic will fit your important mail, documents, and packages and keep them dry. The housing around the elegant flag is finished to match the body and will ensure the flag will stay upright to signify pickup at your mailbox. The Ashland mailbox post offers several options for installation. Each unit includes mounting hardware to attach to a new concrete pad (surface mount) as well as a bolt-on 16" post attachment for direct burial. The beauty and durability of the classic mailbox and Ashland post come together to give your home a curbside accent that you can enjoy for a lifetime.

I love this mailbox. My first inclination was to have Handy install but decided to tackle it myself. I went on Etsy and ordered the classically styled numbers which I hope hold up over time (Etsy seller Hildahomedecor solid brass numbers) My handyman came over today and used liquid glue to lock in the finial so that it can’t be twisted off and disappear (I hadn’t even thought to do that) Project is complete except for getting the old post out!. The Mail Manager PRO by Mail Boss combines the best features of the Mail Manager and the Mail Boss in 1 ultimate security mailbox. Includes the revolutionary patented Fast Trak Mounting system. Powder-coated heavy 14/16 electro-galvanized steel with stainless steel hinges. A patented locking system for leveraged pry resistance, commercial grade lock, and an innovative baffle door design allows for the delivery of small packages without compromising mail security.

It's a great mailbox! Solid, tough and attractive! I added the Mail Boss Steel Post, it's a bit pricey but beautiful looking and heavy Guage steel that is powder coated! I put a 4 x 4 inside it for added length and strength! I used 2 bags of 50 lb cement, 2' into the ground, it is totally solid! This mailbox comes with the 4 bolts to mount the easy on slider base to the post but if placing on a wood post 4 x 4 just use some lag bolts, the base plate has numerous hole configurations! This mailbox slides right on the base plate, then put the 2 screws in the front and you're good to go! The 2 screws are totally inaccessible since they are inside the closed mailbox cover when locked. An fyi, I followed exactly the height instructions, but my mail person felt it was a bit low due to their new vehicles having higher window frames, so I added the height extension to make her happy! she loves it now!.
