Beautiful pergola. The color and design is very nice. It’s wood, however it’s very light weighted wood. So I would say it’s not super sturdy compared to a more heavy wood type. Regardless, it looks beautiful.. Adrian. Miles City, MT. Wed May 20 2026

We'd been talking about adding some shade to our patio for a while and almost bought a gazebo. My father-in-law suggested a pergola because it would keep the backyard feeling more open. My wife also loved that it has built-in warm lighting. We ordered the 10×13 and it arrived in five boxes with nothing missing or damaged. My sons and I spent about six hours putting it together. The louvers took the longest, but everything fit together well. We've already had a few dinners outside, and opening the louvers in the evening while the weather cools down has become my favorite part of the day.. Aaron Rork. Thu Jul 16 2026

We bought the 20x12 to go over our back patio. The house has an eave so we measured and confirmed the stated height of the pergola would fit under the eave. The pergola ended up being several inches higher than the specs. I think 103 inches high when it was complete. Because of this, my husband had to buy a new blade to cut the rear poles several inches He also has to drill new holes. This worked out well but took several hours to address. The instructions aren’t great but we were able to follow them with minimal errors. Putting all the poles together was tedious but to be expected for this size project. Actually raising the pieces and attaching them to make the frame was not very difficult and we were easily able to accomplish it with three people. We had a downpour a day after putting it up, and only one spot has a drop, so I would say it’s pretty water tight. My husband doesn’t love that the roof isn’t opaque, so we may end up painting it. We’ll see. Other than the height issue, I’m pretty pleased with the quality for the price. I think it will last at least several years and give us time to decide if we want to do something more permanent back there.. Rachel. Alpharetta, GA. Mon Aug 10 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. The Mondawe Pergola has been a transformative addition to our tree-less backyard. It looks great from every angle and it has significantly increased our outdoor living time by providing much needed shade. We're already planning to spend every possible minute out here as the weather warms up. Assembly was surprisingly straightforward, thanks to instructions that were easy to follow. While the process is manageable, it is a project; it took a full weekend to complete. My husband handled most of the assembly, though he definitely needed an extra set of hands to safely erect the support pillars and main frame. Make sure your electric drill is fully charged and ready to go, as there are quite a few screws involved in securing the slats. Once it's up, though, the payoff is immediate. This pergola offers a perfect reprieve from the sun throughout the day, featuring a smooth louvered system that is incredibly easy to operate. Each side opens and closes with one fluid motion, giving us precise control over exactly how much sunlight we let in. The wood grain coating on the aluminum frame adds an elegant and timeless touch. We really appreciate that the four outer pillars each have a drainage hole, thanks to the advanced drainage system that efficiently collects rainwater by channeling it down through 4 pillars. Not only will this provide ample shade, it will also keep you dry while you pull your steaks off the grill in unexpected rain.. Aprilc. Sun Mar 22 2026

This is a great solution for my boring hot back patio. It created instant shade and great style to the area. We rarely used this space before installing this gazebo. We have had extremely high winds with no issues but it has not gone through hail or snow yet so I can’t speak on that currently. We’re having an issue with one of our control boxes, which we’re just outside of the 30 days so I’ll have to reach out to the manufacturer over that but overall, I highly recommend!. Hogan. Missouri.
