These are sturdy chairs. The bottom cushion is thin but relatively comfortable. Definitely needs more padding. The plastic wicker looks and feels ok - its a decent replica but cant pull it off completely. When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place..
