Designed for homeowners who want a shaded retreat with a decorative structure that still lets the outdoors feel open, this 8.5' x 13' heavy-duty pergola is built to deliver superior strength, long-term durability, and everyday outdoor functionality. Unlike standard pergolas made with thin tubing or mixed materials, this model features an all-metal frame with thick 80 x 80mm steel posts, providing noticeably greater stability and reduced sway. The posts are finished with a realistic wood-grain coating, offering the warm look of natural wood without cracking, warping, or moisture damage. No more squinting, just a bright, airy retreat for relaxing, dining, or entertaining. Its arched design improves airflow and water runoff while maintaining consistent fabric tension—helping prevent sagging over time. This pergola includes built-in side shelves and a bar-style counter, transforming it from a simple shade structure into a functional entertaining area. We have been wanting to get a pergola for so long, and have been hesitant to pull the trigger. I’m so glad we finally did! We are so pleased with this one! It was a bit of a process to put together, but not terrible. It took two people about 5 hours to finish, and the last few steps we needed three people. Overall it was relatively easy, just a lot of steps. The top shade is a bit transparent so you can still see out of it, which we like, and the drapes are thick so if you want to close them to block out that sun you can. We do plan to bolt it down to the concrete soon, just to ensure that it doesn’t move if we get wind gusts. Overall I definitely recommend this beautiful pergola!. Amanda. Edgewater, CO.
