I haven't installed this yet. The order shows that the post is quite long. What it doesn't tell you is that you can cement that part into the ground. The red mailbox flag is metal, but the turn style is plastic. I am concerned that this plastic will eventually break. I live in the cold country where freezing is standard in the winter.
