The actual set I received was slightly different than what is pictured. The very round shaped spoons is what had first drawn me to this set, but what arrived was much more the traditional spoon shape, a slight let down. That being said, the set is incredibly nice otherwise. They are balanced well and have a great weight to them, when holding any of the pieces, it's quite obvious they are quality utensils. Pricey but worth it! I searched and searched for flatware NOT MADE IN CHINA! It was very difficult! Most familiar names (and those that used to be associated with quality) are not made in America anymore. For example: Reed and Barton, Onida, Lenox, Micasa, Kate Spade. The quality of these aforementioned brands has decreased dramatically. I would have loved to buy American: yet, I only found one company aptly named Liberty.
