It was easy to put together with the exception of the top’s “picture frame” that took a little bit of thinking. The wood was pre-drilled and the engineering on this construction is delightful. The parts fits together very well with self-evident features (grooves) in the wood panels that serve as a helpful guide. It took about two hours to construct and it was helpful to have a helper to brace it. We used an electric drillscrewdriver, a socket wrench and a regular screwdriver. We added a hole in the bottom panel to run an electric cord through. I think this sturdy little cabinet is going to last a long time.. Wendy. Dallas, TX. Tue Sep 08 2026

It was a nice piece after getting built which would be alot easier if they would show more detailed instructions. Top or bottom or left or right side of pieces would help a lot. Got it built and seems sturdy enough although there are some imperfections. Mine had dimples in metal top that I cannot hide but not bad enough to repack and ask for another. (See Photos) I would probably purchase again. I have purchased from Wayfair before and they always try to correct any issues. I'm super delighted with this potting shed. We purchased it, in the 'natural' color, to use in our rec room as a china hutch. I was initially afraid that it would look too 'potting bench-ish' to be used as such. Once it was assembled, though, I found that it was even better than I had hoped. The existing wood in the rec room is a warm oak with a satin finish. The color of the potting shed was very much the same but with a matt finish. I fixed that by coating the wood with Howard's Feed-N-Wax wood polish and conditioner which not only gave the wood a slight sheen but deepened the color for an even better match with existing wood. NOTE 1: I originally, purchased two of these for the rec room based on measurements provided in the real estate listing for our new house. Once we got in the house, we found that, while I could fit both in the recroom, it gave the room a very crowded, over-stuffed look. So, we sent one back and kept one. Customer service was fabulous and the return was simple! NOTE 2: The assembly was time consuming even for my husband who is quite comfortable with wood working in general. But definitely worth it. This item is terribly made. I'm sure the original sticker price of $519.99 was a marketing tactic as that would be an egregious amount to pay for such a poorly constructed item with such low quality material. The $149 I paid was too much. None of the drill holes are at the same depth and spacing is off, requiring you to force some pieces together which puts the material at risk of splitting when tightening screws. This also causes the drawers to stick to the point where I can't really use them unless I want a fight everytime I open them as its just wood rubbing on wood. Speaking of wood, I doubt this is the fir wood that was advertised for this item. An edge of the cart came chipped and you can clearly see its a composite or particle board. The cart itself is so light it just goes all over the place at the ligtest push even with the wheels locked. That is extremely inconvenient when using this as a potting bench with heavy bags of soil your trying to manage and the cart moving all around under the weight. The furniture put off a terrible chemical smell for days. Tools needed for assembly are NOT provided as advertised. You absolutely need a power drill to push the wood nails through. Lastly, there is some kind of resin, maybe even a fiber glass coating all over the cart that splintered into my hands while assembling. I could not imagine this being food safe for anyone using it as a kitchen cart or grill prep table with this fine fibrous resin all over it. By far the worst item I have purchased on wayfair.. Kayla. Well packaged, well made, easily assembled without any assistance. The hooks under the top shelf are a little on the small side, but I don’t really need them so I’m not bothered by that. I plan to use this as a potting bench most of the time but love how easily it can be cleaned if I need it as an entertaining sideboard or grill station.. Jill. Rumford, RI. Thu Jun 04 2026
