Needed a birdbath bowl to place on my ceramic base - to replace the broken top. Though a bit smaller than the original top, the size is proportional to the base upon which it sits & allows enough room to add flat stones in the center to provide both a landing spot as well as weight to help keep it from toppling off the base (it is, after all, quite light). I'm using this by placing it over a rotted out metal bird bath. So I'm still using the base from the old one and this is definitely a substantial bowl. It's not thin at all.
