Got this as an open box set and it seems sturdy and well made. There were a few small scratches on one of the arms, but don't effect the structure at all. I think I have purchased over 24 of these chairs. We love them. They hold up great. They can hold up to 350lbs. This makes it nice for our heavier guests. The last two had a defective part.
