This is big enough to fit packages inside without crushing them! It's a beautiful mailbox. It is super sturdy and well made. Well we are disabled, the box was difficult to assemble. Also the lock was not long enough to prevent being forced open. I was so impressed with the Highland post and mailbox after I installed it that I sent Step2 and email of praise. It is the most solidly built item I have had the pleasure of putting together that I can remember. Every few years my mailbox gets destroyed by the snow pressure from the city snow plow.
