The Mikasa French Countryside flatware set is a quaint design, versatile enough to coordinate with multiple decorating styles. It has a highly polished finish which I plan to hand wash and dry most of the time, although Im sure it would hold up well in the dishwasher. The weight and balance is good, but I find it slightly more cumbersome to use than another set I have. After looking at thousands of patterns (unfortunately, I am not exaggerating), we decided to purchase this pattern. I actually fell in love with its sister pattern, the Nyssa, but found it to be too bulky with the round handle. This is the flat, which feels a little thin width wise at first, but we actually love it. So many compliments on it. I hit the silverwareflatware jackpot with this set! It has everything I love in flatware. It’s smooth and shiny. The polish is so beautiful.
