It’s perfect for what I needed. I initially set out to find an aluminum model, but this one ended up being an excellent choice. It gets quite windy in my area, so I really appreciate the additional weight and stability. Assembly went fairly smoothly, although I did have to get a little creative when fitting some of the connectors that join the beams together (time waster for sure, better QA is needed). A good soft mallet definitely comes in handy for getting everything seated properly without damaging the parts. I was also missing one component when the package arrived, but the replacement was shipped within a couple of days. Fortunately, it wasn’t a part that prevented me from completing the assembly and there were no damaged parts. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and feel it was a great fit for my needs.. ​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item. I wasn’t sure this could be as perfect as it is considering the affordable price. It has exceeded expectations. Other reviews have mentioned the difficult assembly directions. I found the directions to be sufficient and was able to assemble the pergola properly, in a reasonable amount of time. Allow most of a day to do it. Having two people to assist you makes the construction of the pergola much easier and safer. Particularly important as the various parts are put together and erected.
