I went on Etsy and ordered the classically styled numbers which I hope hold up over time (Etsy seller Hildahomedecor solid brass numbers) My handyman came over today and used liquid glue to lock in the finial so that it can’t be twisted off and disappear (I hadn’t even thought to do that) Project is complete except for getting the old post out!. Great, sturdy mailbox. Looks fantastic. We now have by far the nicest mailbox on the street. It is pretty heavy (about 25lbs I believe) so make sure your post can handle it. Not a fan of the wood block for mounting. It will eventually rot. Would have liked to see a pvc product or similar.
