Not quite sure of the rope situation but overall alot easier than attaching tie down straps to the trees. I have not used it yet with winter on its way in the north. An especially large and stable hammock chair stand made of powder-coated steel. The seat height can be adjusted as needed with an integrated rope. Large enough for optimal freedom of movement, even with a hammock chair lounger.

The stand is great, but when it arrived, it's "box" almost didn't meet the definition of "box" anymore (it was COMPLETELY falling apart, semi- re-taped together...presumably by the carrier).
