I bought this as a companion to the 20 lb. tank that we use for most things that require propane in our camper. The 20 lb. tank is enclosed in a garage which is convenient for most things, but can sometimes get in the way. This tank allows me to buy bulk propane, which is much more economical than disposable 1 lb. canisters, providing both a backup to the 20 lb. tank and the option to move the tank easily to other locations in our campsite. My initial purchase of these was on the pricey side, 1 lb tanks being a more cost effective option. Other factors influenced me to get smaller tanks for small handheld torches and the like so I bought a couple to try out. Very similar to the 1 lb Flame King tanks but the bottom skirt could be a wee bit longer. The concave bottom protrudes a bit and makes the tank rock slightly when placed on a flat surface. I am ordering two more today as there is a savings on a 2 tanks purchae. Great for mounting a small stove burner on and these tanks are lighter and smaller for daytime hikes.. David.
