Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. ​Great pergola and easy assembly, but with a couple of issues ​We really like this pergola, and the whole family is thoroughly enjoying the shade it provides on our deck. It was quite easy to assemble (we only needed two people for the posts and main beams) and I was able to do the rest by myself. ​However, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. As shown in the photos, some of the holes on the beams were not pre-drilled, which made installation a bit more difficult. Additionally, the hook used to move the louvers arrived with rust spots and a poor finish, which is disappointing for a brand-new item.
