It’s a regular fold out chair and not very comfortable as is. You would need an extra cushion for it to be comfortable. I received this as part of the tride and true program. This was specifically ordered for a camping trip that ended up getting cancelled, hence the pad still being in the package. This is a sturdy unit and the frame, which we did open, assembled very quickly and folds back up easily for storage. The pad is decently thick and seems pretty comfortable.
