Navy blue and white create the illusion of soothing frothy waves in the design of this cotton hammock. The design is by Maya Artists of the Yucatan, who use traditional weaving techniques with experienced skill. Long before the Spanish arrived upon the coasts of the Yucatan Peninsula, the Maya preferred to sleep and rest in hammocks. They considered the hammock to be like the loving embrace of a mother, due to the comfortable manner in which the body is held and swung within its cradle. Maya Artists of the Yucatan seek to preserve time-honored customs while also offering stylized versions of the original Maya hammock. For them, the hammock is a work of art. Their hammocks are incredibly comfortable, easy to maintain, and may be stored just about anywhere. Please note: For best results, store indoors when not in use. Colors may bleed when wet. Note: Because each is woven individually by hand, measurements may vary by as much as ten centimeters. There may be slight color variations from hammock to hammock.

So comfortable, it hugs you but is cool at the same time.. Kevin. Running Springs, CA. Mon Jul 22 2019

Add a touch of drama to your outdoor spaces with this gorgeous double-sized hammock. The Maya Artists of Yucatan collective hand-weave it from 100% cotton rope in midnight blue, and add a beautiful long fringe for an extra breezy touch. Ropes and hammock hooks are provided for easy installation. Hammocks have been used by Mayan peoples since pre-Hispanic times. The Maya Artists of the Yucatan collective seeks to keep this ancient art alive by providing its members with training, access to new materials and techniques, and financial support.

I love this hammock!! The picture of the hammock is accurate, but the description is not accurate. (Thus, the 4 stars instead of 5.) There is no spreader bar (which I didn't want anyway). I don't know why they call it that! Traci. Traci Lynn. Greensboro, PA. Sat May 02 2026

This red, blue and white hammock is certain to inspire those with a patriotic heart from several different countries. Woven by hand, this nylon hammock comes from Maya Artists of the Yucatán who create it in the same way they have for centuries. Elevate your outdoor and indoor relaxation with this Double Rattan Egg Chair with Canopy, designed for shared comfort and stylish living. Crafted with premium weather-resistant rattan and a robust steel frame, this double-seat hanging swing offers a spacious, cozy retreat for you and your loved one (or even your furry friend).

It’s hard to tell from this picture but the egg shape is half wicker and half rope. That was a surprise but it doesn’t look that bad, it definitely makes the chair look cheaper but then again it’s more unique this way. I’m only 5 feet tall so I have to hop into it but it’s very comfortable and I added a couple of my own pillows. Eventually I will probably replace the cushion in this because although it’s comfortable, it’s a cheap material, like a rayon or polyester and it has a sheen that a cheap cushion tends to have. But, the canopy works to offer some Protection and that was the main reason why I got this and I do not regret my purchase. I would recommend this to my friends and I’m very happy with it!. Wendy.
