I really like this garden arbor/pergola trellis. It is a pretty good size and it is reasonably stable. I think it will hold in strong winds because it will allow for movement that should against mitigate breaking. It was relatively easy for my husband to assemble. The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. 1 of 2 built! I’m disabled and I was able to build it myself. Very simple and extremely light. The hard part in my opinion was digging holes to anchor it in the ground and making sure it was level. Update — Seller and manufacturer ultimately agreed to mail me a new replacement for the whole item after I agreed to mail back the original at their cost. Glad they agreed to correct the problem. New bench looks lovely. Original — Box arrived looking like it had been shipped through a war zone. All of the hardware was missing except for one nut and the wrench — fallen out of the flimsy hardware bag and annihilated box. Shows evidence of water damage with rust on parts.. Julia.
