Packaged rather nicely, but still came with a few minor chips. I did appreciate the pre-drilled holes and the fact that it came with its own little screwdriver which came in handy in some of the tight corners. Some of the wood was weirdly stained but in the end if it’s going outside it’s not going to be perfect and the rustic look is a choice. Love this wall planter and glad I ordered the larger one. There is enough soil surrounding the plants so they stay hydrated for 48hrs after watering. I did put a bit of heavy plastic in the bottom to hold in some of the moisture—poked 3 tiny holes to prevent root rot. The planter is sturdy and attractive.
