The baffle blocked the rather large racoon that often raids other feeders. We put the feeders away every evening but are attempting to leave some in place because of this design. I like the dragonfly designs on the bird feeder. It is very attractive and my birds are loving it. I wish the feeder tube was made of glass. It is a little hard to fill and if the feeder tube is knocked off slightly while filling it, it is hard to situate it back on.
