I dont think it would stand up to wind and whatnot without being anchored with that being said Im going to Anchor it to our metal pipe fence gate. I really like this garden arbor/pergola trellis. It is a pretty good size and it is reasonably stable. I think it will hold in strong winds because it will allow for movement that should against mitigate breaking. It was relatively easy for my husband to assemble.
