I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. Used this to complete a screen around our HVAC and backup generator as required by the township. This is expensive compared to other screen options. However, this screen is much more substantial than any of the alternatives I've seen. Others are perhaps 1/8" thick, bend like cardboard, and can be cut with a utility knife. This is almost 1/2" thick, almost impossible to bend, and requires a table saw or circular saw to cut. Price and quality match. The powder coating is not paint and screws are steel (yay), everything was machined well. If you don’t have a drill and a general idea on how to avoid cross threading it’s gonna be slow and a bad time but using a drill and a quick hand tightening on a few parts makes it quick and sturdy. Directions are easy to follow, packaging is great. I tie wrapped it rather than screwed it into the wood, but provided options for securing against wind are in the box. The metal screen is perfect for creating privacy and ambience in my backyardpatio. It does take a while to put the three panels together with the support railings since there are a lot of screws, but it’s not difficult. The pieces are manufactured well so there were no issues fitting pieces and putting screws into pre-machines holes. One person who is good with putting stuff together can do it in about 30-45 minutes. The panels are steady, but a strong gust of wind can knock them over if the wind hits them right.
