It’s a quality piece and a beautiful dark gray. The surface feels like wood, looks like wood. But the directions aren’t detailed. Easy enough to figure out with a few tips There are little flanges on the internal posts — and those need to be hammered into place (directions dont indicate this) — otherwise the top piece cant attach. Some of the pieces need coaxing to slide into place — again a few taps with a hammer and they’ll go in. The bottom piece has a metal sleeve — and you need to ensure the metal holes align to the external holes before assembling the whole thing — otherwise you’ll need to drill holes through the metal (what I did). Mocha

Very sturdy. Does not look like cheap plastic. All pieces arrived and without damage or misalignment of parts. My only complaint is that it takes two people to put it together. I have tried on my own and failed. The pieces fit very tightly which is good once they are together, but getting them together is a challenge. I’m hoping to get my neighbor to help me.. Diana.
