The Honey Keeper Vented Beekeeping Gloves are essential for beginner and commercial beekeepers who risk getting stung when handling hives. They shield your hands and forearms against bee stings and are ideal for hive maintenance, colony inspection, and honey harvesting. Choosing gloves that protect your bare hands and keep you sting-free while performing beekeeping tasks is critical. As your hive grows, and you spend more time working directly with your bees, you will need this protection. Our beekeeping gloves are of heavy-duty construction made with durable goatskin leather to protect the palms of your hands and fingers, yet offer the flexibility needed to handle tools and hives. Ventilation around the wrist area lets air through to reduce perspiration, so you can work in your gloves for hours without sweating (only on select models). This makes them well suited for warmer climates and summer months. The long sleeves with elastic cuffs form an effective seal to prevent bees from crawling inside and will and not slip while you are working, decreasing the risk of dropping tools and crushing bees. Breathable and comfortable to wear, the sleeves on these gloves are cotton fabric, so they are supple enough to give you the flexibility needed to work with delicate bees and hives. They are also well-suited for warm weather and the summer months. Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool or lukewarm water, using a mild detergent. Hang dry. Honey Keeper makes top quality beekeeping supplies to support all colony habitats and ensure longevity.
