I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. This metal privacy screen provides just the right touch of beauty and function. Although we chose not to use it with the stands, it still provides that element of privacy we wanted for under our deck. It is sturdy and we anticipate it will hold up well to the elements. It did arrive missing some of the hardware but since we ended up not using the stands, it wasn’t that big of a deal.
