A steel rod is used as the linkage for the shut-off function, giving a smooth, solid, on/off to create a consistent flow of material through the hopper. This rod will not bend or bind like a cable. Spreading rates may vary depending on the characteristics of the material in the hopper. The CW2500 comes partially assembled, requiring only 5-10 minutes to complete.
