Give wrens in your backyard a comfortable and safe shelter with this Coveside Hanging Wren House. Wrens, unlike most other birds, do not mind the gentle motion of a hanging bird house, making this compact, suspended shelter an ideal dwelling for these small feathered friends. This handsome nest box is sustainably harvested and constructed from old eastern pine to create a striking and environmentally friendly item, and the 1" entryway allows easy access for wrens while keeping out larger birds and other predators. The abode sports drainage holes in the bottom corners to keep the nest dry and clean, while a ventilation slot situated beneath the pitched roof line maintains the house at an optimal temperature. The rough hewn wood lends fledglings a safe and secure foothold for when it's time to climb out and leave the nest, and the lack of a perch near the hole further discourages predation. One side of the nest box opens easily for observation and seasonal maintenance, while the included hanging chain lets you showcase this charming dwelling in your bird sanctuary with ease.
