Product Overview
- Complement your outdoor fire pit with a fire pit wind guard. A windy night can quickly put a damper on an outdoor gathering, Flame Guards provide an additional safety barrier around your fire pit and help to maintain a central flame during the evening breeze. Designed specifically for outdoor fire pits, all of our flame guards are built to last with fire-resistant tempered glass panels, polished aluminum brackets, and anti-slip rubber pads. Installation is easy, just connect the glass panels together with the included brackets and support feet, then place it on your fire feature. To choose the proper wind guard size, measure your fire pit pan and add 5 inches to the overall dimension. The typical setback distance between the outside of the burner and the flame guard is about 2.5 inches on each side of the burner area of the fire pit. The flame guard placement should sit on the outside of your fire pit burner for optimal performance. Having the same spacing between the burner and the flame guard on all sides will give the fire feature a balanced well-designed look.
Features
- Maintain the flame: flame guards provide an additional safety barrier around your fire pit and help to maintain a central flame during the evening breeze.
- Built to last: designed specifically for outdoor fire pits, all of our flame guards are built with fire-resistant tempered glass panels, polished aluminum brackets, and anti-slip rubber pads. Installation is easy, just connect the glass panels together with the included brackets and support feet, then place it on your fire feature.
- Tempered glass panels: our flame guards are made from 3/16” of an inch thick tempered glass and do a good job at stopping excessive heat from reaching the rest of the fire pit table. The clear tempered glass allows you to see the flames & reflections. Can be used with liquid propane or natural gas fire pits.
- Stronger flames: flame guards allow for a small amount of wind to enter the bottom of the fire pit. This causes a reaction in the fire where the wind circulates around the inside of the guard and actually helps the flames rise higher. So not only do flame guards protect your flames, but they even help them blaze stronger.
- Beautiful design: we strategically craft our guards to be a few inches larger than its correlating burner because the guards are supposed to be used at least two inches from the end of the pan on all sides. The flame guard placement should sit on the outside of your fire pit burner for optimal performance.
