Best Picture Lights With Reviews

Perfect solution to add light to our dimly lit entry foyer and enhance our artwork at the same time. I will be ordering another one to provide accent lighting in my bedroom. Lighting from different sources other than the ceiling or table lamps is a great designer trick to add ambience.

I gave this four starts instead of five because the swivel features does not allow the light to angle downward as much as I would have liked. I was able to bend the metal to allow it to be at the angle I was looking for. Other than that, I love the brass and that it has a bright light setting and a dimmed setting.

This light is exactly what we were looking for. Restortation Hardware sells lights like this for several hundred dollars. I'm glad I took my time and decided to go with Wayfair.

Really nice and provides exactly what we needed. We hung from wall rather than back of painting. Weird light bulbs are needed but maybe that's normal for a picture light - I've never had one before :-).

SkuW000071058 2-light plug-in Wall mounted Picture Light by Alcott hills…my only complaint of dislike is with the 2.5 diameter circumference of the cylinder area of the light that housesholds the T6 Candelabra bulbs…even with my small female hands and slim fingers, it is very difficult manipulating the bulb for input placement and removal, there is very little space for grasping onto the bulb for screwing in and out. The light fixture however is quite nice, pretty and functional. I love it and will keep it.

These lamps look very classy and high quality. I purchased these to add additional/accent lighting in my hallway as it is quite dark. It worked great. The light is very bright. The color is more of a “white/bright” tone, but it is on the warmer end of the spectrum (aka not blue-toned at all). The light is almost too bright for where I was placing these. The fixture is adjustable in two locations (at the base attachment and at the light bulb attachment) which allowed me to turn the light towards the ceiling to soften the brightness. This feature was great and allowed me to play around until I got the light positioned exactly how I needed it. I really like that they are able to function as a plug-in or hardwired light fixture. Currently, I am using them as plug-ins and plan to add a cord cover or paint to disguise the cord. The black is very obvious on the light colored wall.

Ive only received the item, but the brushed gold looks nice. Some complained about the alignment of the piece, I saw this and was able to adjust it with my hands before installation. This will be hardwired for my use. I think its a great value for this fixture.

Light is beautiful and was easy to hang. But, one problem is the opening where you install the bulbs is extremely tight. I have slender hands and it was a struggle and will be every time I need to replace bulbs. Even so I kept the light. I have several picture lights and none have this issue. And, they were all in the same price range but from different retailers.

I read previous reviews about these lights and was a little apprehensive. That was essentially because someone said the driverplug was bulky and they couldn’t plug them into their existing outlet behind the wall hanging. Being mindful of this, i purchased recessed duplex receptacle (clock outlets) and put ground up. Problem solved!!!!!!

This is a super beautiful light! I bought another, cheaper one first from wayfair, but sent it back because it looked and felt like plastic. With this one I got exactly what I paid for. The weight & quality, color of the brass...I love everything about it. I got mine to light a very large world map above my desk (which hasn’t arrived yet—-that’s why it’s just a blank wall in the photo). So other than turning it on I have not used it yet for its intended purpose; but aesthetically, it’s a win.

Really elevates the look of our room. Used two over our high headboard and put them in a dimmer for better evening lighting. The only negative is the severely substandard wall anchors that came with the install kit. You will absolutely have to purchase Better for secure wall mount long term.

Very attractive, fairly simple to put on your wall, cord length (which they don’t tell you) is about 100”, so you may need a small extension to reach your outlet (I did). Good value for the price.

Nice looking lamp and was pretty easy to install. Does a great job lighting up the picture. The light that comes from it looks a little "LED -ish" looking at full intensity. Looks more natural when dimmed. One thing to note that the description doesn't tell you: in order to dim the light you need a special ELV dimmer or 0-10V dimmer. I had a regular Lutron Caseta dimmer (Caseta so I could remotely control the light). The light made an intense buzzing noise - loud enough you could hear it from 3 rooms over. I had to buy a MUCH more expensive ELV Caseta dimmer. Once the ELV dimmer was installed, the buzzing went away completely.

These lights are fantastic. Because they extend from the wall, the image is lit equally with no glare spots (this can sometimes happen with frame mounted lights). Yes, they are pricey but the quality is excellent and we can't be happier with the result. Our painting now pops!

Loved the light !Nice color brass and came well wrapped . Unless hardwired , did not come with any hanging instructions or parts so I just put a nail in the wall and hung Does not seem secure but we will see

Here’s the things I didn’t realize: 1. very bright light and is an ugly LED look. 2.” Dimmable”, means YOU have to install either a dimmable light fixture, or get a plug in dimmable (which I did). Now that you know this…it is an awesome light!!!!! This unit comes with a strip of orange film you can put over the bulb to tone it down (which I did), it made a big difference, and after I attached the dimmable unit to it, I had EVERYTHING I needed. It looks so good over my artwork. Very happy with my purchase. Remember….don’t freak out, the end result is perfect.

This is a beautiful quality light! Unfortunately, the historic nickel color was more of a gunmetal. It was too hard to see this from the provided pictures. I hoped that they would still work as they are really nice, but will be sending them back. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the bad pictures.

Beautiful light! To correct to inconsistencies in the product description - it IS dimmable (standard E26 25W tubular bulb) and bulbs ARE NOT included. Historic Nickel color is not as dark as the picture suggests. It's similar to brushed nickel but with a little more patina which provides some darker highlights.

It is beautiful, light weight, easy to install and gives my living room additional lighting in the evening. Not to mention I love the way it displays my artwork and brings it center stage. I’ve already gotten compliments on how it gives my living room an added layer of sophistication.

This isnt a traditional picture lamp, but it works. Its a thin light that is mounted to a curved frame. All of the mounting hardware is included. Theres also a remote and power cord. For my needs it works okay.
