This ceiling medallion added an element of historic design to my renovation. Note that the bluish areas in the photo are actually cut out, and when installed, your ceiling will show through in those spots. Center area around the opening is thicker than the edges. I changed out the light plate cover to a deeper profile. Applied easily with construction adhesive and temporarily held in place with tape till the adhesion dried. So lightweight, that you can alter the opening with an Xacto knife.. Keenkathy. Arizona. Mon Jun 22 2015

We love the design of these medallions, they look beautiful surrounded by the ceiling rings. What a great accent to our room, we are so pleased with them. Thank you Wayfair!. Karen. New Springfield, OH. Sat Nov 21 2015

Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That masterpiece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high-density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, lightweight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high-density urethane and not vacuum-formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are lightweight for easy installation and come primed and ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Our whole one-piece medallions are cut in two for you, making installation a breeze.

First, we LOVE the look of this! It is beautiful above the chandelier; it makes quite a statement! However, it was very challenging putting it up. It has to be screwed into the ceiling. We tried, several times, to just use heavy duty adhesive, which was recommended in several tutorials we watched, but it didn't work. That didn't work because the back is not flat. There is a 3-4 inch flat ring around the outside, then it steps down for the entire center of the medallion. So, there is a lot more of the medallion that doesn't sit flat against the ceiling than does. Also, the pieces don't match up exactly once it's mounted. So, now we have screw holes and a seam to fill in, along with the seam between medallion & ceiling (which we'd have to do with any of them). I just hope the pattern isn't distorted with the caulk. Because of all the shifting of the piece trying to get it to line up and stay up, there's adhesive on the ceiling and on the medallion that we have to touch up. Love the look. Hated the install. Will put up more medallions in our home, but only one piece! Before & after photos included.. Shelly. Denville, NJ. Sun Feb 20 2022
