Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. Came very well packaged. I had a handyman install it. He did not seem to have any problems. It is controlled by the remote. The wall outlet (?) only turns the unit off. The first fan I received had a wiring issue and the light would not work after I had installed it. This seemed to be a fluke and as always, Wayfair made right by it and sent a replacement right away. The new one worked perfect and I’m very happy with it. The fan is surprisingly strong and I love that the remote can attach to a mount on the wall…I’ll never lose it!
