I’m very much impressed with this lamp. It is a quality lamp with a heavy cord, heavy real wood base, and a lovely antique brass finish on the metal. The clever on/off switch-chain is easy to use and is SO much better than a turn knob! The scalloped shade compliments this style of lamp. It is made of a stiff plastic material that maintains the scallops quite well. Overall, I was pretty surprised by the quality vs the cost; the lamp is definitely well built and could have passed with a higher price tag IMO.
