Chaseburg Outdoor Wall Lights Driving by husband’s office the other day I actually looked at the front of the building. I was dismayed to see how terrible the sconces on either side of the front door looked. To use the word ratty would be an understatement. Not to worry I headed to Wayfair to find the perfect replacements. Not too big, not too little, and reasonably priced. I found the Chaseburg Wall light set by Winston Porter in no time. Each light measures approximately 9.85 inches high by 7.78 inches wide and extends out a little over 4 inches. The fixture is a slightly over 2 ½ lbs in weight. This size and weight should replace the old fixtures nicely. The fixtures comes with detailed installation instructions. The fixtures are lightweight metal with white frosted lenses. They are designed to be weatherproof and should last quite some time as they will be mounted on the wall protected by a porch roof. The sconces use a 60-watt bulb which will be easily installed because the fixtures are open at the bottom. I love this feature. No fussing and fighting to get the bulb fitted or to clean. Since the fixtures are not installed yet I tried them outside in the dark using only a flashlight. They glowed softly through the white lenses and looked great.. Christine. Lake Charles, LA. Brimming with classic character, this one-light outdoor wall sconce is perfect for casting a warm glow over any alfresco space. Made from powder-coated steel and suited for wet spaces, this weather- and rust-resistant fixture features a clean-lined backplate and a traditional curved silhouette. Its clear crackled glass shade gives it a touch of antique inspiration, while it is metal wire outer cage offers a nod to nautical style. This luminary accommodates one 60 w medium-base incandescent bulb (not included).

I love the design and I’d say it’s a quality piece overall. I deducted one star because assembly isn’t as easy as it should be. In order to prevent water from getting into the base where the bulb goes, the glass globe is sandwiched in between two rubber grommets, one above the glass globe and one below. On paper that sounds easy but one has to generate rather significant force to provide the requisite threading necessary to seal it up with the decorative nuts. And unless you get the four thread ends exactly right where the holes are—a near impossible feat—you’ll end up scratching the base. My description above will likely make little sense until you actually have this unit in hand so here’s a Cliff Notes version. Get a second person to help.. Robert. Lakeville, MN. Fri Jul 31 2020

I loved the simplicity and price of this outdoor lantern. The fixture base is metal, but strangely lightweight. There are screws provided, but no instructions on which screws are meant for which part. Depending on the location of the outdoor light you’re replacing, you may want to have other screw lengths handy. . Rae. SD. Sun Mar 03 2024
