It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. UPDATE Fan is now installed on the ceiling. Looks very nice, but power is not yet hooked up to it so I have not yet been able to run it or turn the light on. Will add a photo and update review once power is hooked up. As you can see by the photo, I do not yet have the fan installed but will add an update photo and an updated review in a few days when my contractor has installed it. The fan appears well made fan blades are actual real, solid wood and are very nice quality - no painted fake finish here. The surround that covers the motor is metal and nicely made. It fits flush against the ceiling. The fan also comes with a remote that controls both the fan and the LED light and you can change the color tone and brightness of the light. So I am looking forward to getting this light installed and will update my review then with new pictures and feedback on the fan operation. I think it’s going to look beautiful in my bedroom!. We love our new ceiling fan. It was a bit challenging to put it on, took my husband and his dad 2 hours to put it on but they were by no means handy. It was a bit smaller than what I expected being 60inch but it serves it means. The fan was super quiet and strong, so I don’t mind it being a little bit smaller. I’ve been really happy with this ceiling fan overall. The design is what first caught my attention. The solid wood blades look much more upscale than typical builder-grade fans and give the room a clean modern coastal feel. It works especially well in spaces with white or light natural finishes. The fan itself is very quiet, even on the higher speeds. The reversible motor is a nice feature and the airflow has been excellent for both cooling and circulating air. The remote is simple to use and having 6 speeds gives much better control than standard lowmediumhigh fans. I also liked the adjustable light temperatures since it makes it easy to switch between warmer lighting at night and brighter white light during the day. Installation was fairly straightforward, although the instructions could have been clearer in a few spots, especially around wiring and pairing the remote. Not difficult if you’ve installed fans before, but first-time installers may need a little patience. My only real complaint is that the integrated light could be a little brighter for larger rooms, but for bedrooms, covered patios, offices, or sitting areas it’s perfectly adequate.
