I added this medallion to my ho-hum dining room and it makes a great design statement. I was planning to paint it but the matte white finish happened to match our ceiling perfectly so my husband just added a littel caulk to give it a flush appearance and it looks fantastic. Easy to paint (comes primed), easy to install. This was a little smaller than I anticipated (assumed it would be the same size as a similar medallion from the same brand, silly me) but it is a subdued, elegant touch to upgrade a fixture I still want to replace!
