I only gave this shade four stars because I really thought it was a purely frosted shade in the picture, which is what I was looking for, but its not. It is a nice size. I ordered it to replace a shade original to my fixture that broke and is no longer available.. Antoinette. New Milford, CT. Sun Mar 31 2024

13.5" Translucent Diffuser - Designed to fit the bottom of your 14" or 15" wide lampshade. (If you are using on top of the shade, please measure the top diameter.) DUAL USE - Perfect for mounting on top your table or floor lamp shade or it will fit the top or bottom of most hanging drum style lamp shades. No More Blinding Light - Everyone loves Mid-Century Drum style lampshade but they can sometimes cause the stark glare of staring straight into the light bulbs. A new diffuser will soften the light and diffuse the harsh glare from stylish drum shades. BETTER QUALITY LIGHT - A new diffuser will instantly improve the quality of the light, especially with energy efficient compact fluorescent or halogen light bulbs, which can often distract from the clean look of your lamp or light fixture. Softer light will cast light more evenly so it is easier on your eyes, improving reading and other tasks. ADD A FINISHED LOOK - they also add a finished look to many table lamps. When mounted underneath, a superior look and performance is achieved for Shallow Drum hanging fixtures. 25% THICKER - Home Concept Light Diffusers are a full 3mm thick (1/8") Other brands will try to skimp with 2.4mm thick acrylic. Be sure to insist on 3mm. Thicker acrylic will be more durable and will soften the light more thoroughly. Center Hole - Center hole is cut 10mm thick Matte Milky White Finish - Home Concept Diffusers are finished on both sides with matte Milky white acrylic. Some diffusers have a shiny side, but we use 100% matte acrylic, which does a better job of softening your light. Forget Peeling Paper - Unlike other brands, we protect your diffuser by individually bagging it, so you don't have to waste 2 hours peeling protective paper.

Very thick, sturdy piece of acrylic. Nearly opaque, but still lets enough diffused light through for ambience. Much better quality than other, thinner acrylic diffusers that tend to warp with extended use.. Sarah. Bedford, NH. Sat Oct 17 2020

Naked lights just won't do, so clothe them in style! Fit to dress a single pendant light, this shade showcases a seedy glass appearance that suits any ensemble. Its broad bowl shape diffuses the glow of your lighting fixture so you can shed some light on your kitchen island or reading nook.

The quality was good, and they were well packed and arrived quickly. They were smaller than I had expected, shorter than pendant shade I was replacing, so measure carefully! Also, with the clear glass we had to try different bulbs to tone down the harsh brightness. We went with a gray bulb.. Pam. La Porte, TX. Sun Apr 12 2020

These shades feature the finest premium linen fabric. Durable upholstery-quality fabric means your new lampshade will last for decades. It wont get brittle from smoke or sunlight like less expensive fabrics. Heavy brass and steel frames means your shades can withstand abuse from kids and pets. It's a difference you can feel when you lift it.

Perfect little shades. We had exposed hanging lights over the kitchen island that we wanted to soften. I simply flipped these over and attached them upside down to the bulbs and they work perfectly!. Amy. San Diego, CA. Fri Dec 06 2024

The manufacturer of the ceiling fan in my front bedroom discontinued. my model . A "friend" broke the shade for the attached light. Manufacture's "suggestions" all fell flat. The product is still being sold as new merchandise by at least 7 vendors on line. The shade has dimensions not typical of replacement shades. 2 of the measurements the height and the center hole were the proper fit, but the width was 2.2 inches wider than the original shade. Called manufacturer to see if the 2 extra inches in width would work ok. Was told they cannot endorse product from other sources. Yet they did not have the shade and the fan plus all parts are now discontinued. Was told I most likely will have to buy a new fan/light combo Got very frustrating trying to find out if this shade ( second one I ordered for this fixture) would work. Wayfair customer service put me in touch with a staff member who got the answer that shade would fit. I ordered it arrived today. Perfect. Wayfair customer service and the knowledgeable staff cause me to return time and again to purchase. Thank you Wayfair!!. Donald. Aurora, CO. Fri Dec 26 2025
