The matte black finish looks beautiful against the brushed gold accents, and the modern transitional style will work perfectly in my boys’ room as a reading light. I love that the swing arm adjusts easily so they can rotate it while reading. The only thing I wish is that the lamp head swiveled, so it could be angled instead of just providing downlighting—but that wasn’t advertised, and I didn’t consider it when ordering, so no need to deduct stars for that.
