I really like these lamps! They’re different and whimsical and add character to our living room. I like the fact that you can just turn on the base, the lightbulb under the lamp, or both. It also has an option to charge a device. The on-off switches on the base. But if you want both lights on, you have to twist near the lightbulb. The reason for four stars is, the lamps I really light and can easily be knocked over and top easily when you’re trying to turn them on and off at the base but other than that, they are a keeper. These arrived in great shape. They were pretty easy to put together. I think it only took 15 minutes for both. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is we couldn’t get one of switches to line up so the switch faces the back of the lamp. No matter how we tried to thread it the switch wouldn’t line up. These lamps are nice! It’s the first time ever that I am pleased with a lamp shade which I had to assemble at home. Shades were packed so that they had no creases and the linen weave fabric is nice and heavy. So when I attached the Velcro, the rings clipped in snugly and you can’t tell it isn’t a pre-assembled shade. The “night light” feature in the base of the is fairly bright, but not as bright as the 60W bulb. I like that I can charge my cell phone in the lamp base, but the night light flickers when I plug in my phone I’ve decided it doesn’t bother me because I can easily work around that issue.
