It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. Its energy-efficient DC motor delivers smooth, silent airflow, while reversible operation ensures year-round comfort. This is a high quality fan light with good features. The light is adjustable in both brightness and warm/cool so I can set it exactly how I like it. Love that feature. It looks really beautiful in my bedroom. The fan puts off a very nice breeze and is very quiet. The downsides: my old traditional ceiling fan had separate switches for the fan and the light, and this fan doesn't work with the second separate fan switch. Also if you turn it off using the wall switch, it preserves the last light setting but not the fan setting, so you would have to turn the fan back on with the remote any time you use the switch. Shout out to the manufacturer and to wayfair. There was an issue with my order missing some of the screws. They resolved my issue quickly and hassle-free. I really appreciate it.. Diana. The ceiling fan arrived promptly and in good condition. The fan is very nice looking and feels well made. Assembly was fair because the pictures could use more detail. For a novice ceiling fan assembler I needed more instructions. The reason I gave it four stars is because the space for the remote box was small and difficult. The remote works great and the fan creates a lot of air so it should be great in a small office where I installed it. It looks really nice as well. I’d definitely recommend this ceiling fan..
