This 1-light wall sconce is an ideal reading light and one that doesn’t take up any space on your desk or nightstand. It’s made from bronze in a variety of finishes and includes a glass shade. We love that its swing arm is adjustable, so this light shines wherever you need it. A cord cover is included for a clean look but, if you’d rather hardwire this wall sconce, its cord is removable. These are fantastic! They really add to our bedroom in a way that looks high end. Installation was not difficult (see below for a tiny caveat) and the materials feel well made. Two thoughts: 1. If you aren’t hardwiring, there is a pole to mask the power cord. On both lamps, the cord would go 95% of the way through and get stuck. If you put the cord through going the opposite direction, it worked perfectly…but you can’t do that because the male end has to screw into the lamp itself. I finally tied some dental floss around the cord and pulled it through. 2. The “dimmable” part is a mystery at the moment because the included bulbs don’t dim. A tube of LED light perfectly concealed within a housing that can be surface or recessed mounted into a headboard or wall. When opened, the adjustable tube pivots 360 degrees as needed to direct a sharp, bright beam of light emitted by an included integrated LED. An integral fingertip dimmer and touch on/off switch is recessed in the wall plate.

This is a lovely, small piece but imperfect and returnable for three reasons (a) the edges are sharp enough to poke/cut a hand reaching in the middle of the night, (b) Unless you recess it into the wall, you'll have a funny looking box on the wall and ( c) while the dimmable light is a great feature, I would prefer no blue light as the night darkens. I'm not one of those who think that a product has to be perfect to earn 5 stars. This lamp has some quirks but it is wonderful enough to earn my 5 stars. The Pros are: - The biggest pro in my opinion is that it has settings memory and can be flipped on by just running current to it. No need for the remote every time. This means that you can plug it to one of those switch controlled outlets and use that as your controller. This is a particularly big deal as many of these led lights with options require you to use their own switch to turn them on. - It's gorgeous - It's inconspicuous and low profile - It offers both warm light (yellowish glow) and cold light (white glow) color temperatures - It is dimmable - Does not look cheap or tacky Some of the Cons are: - It comes in only one color (black). I very terribly wanted white and I imagine that most people would too because their ceilings are white, but black is all they offer at this time apparently. - The light cannot be flush with your ceiling because of the hanging mechanism. Bought this extendable, movable (right to left) arm, swivel head light as an alternative to an overhead light at the stove. I love it. Solid, works just as I need with no overhead space taken up.
