Great bulbs and can be used for dimmers. Rhonda. Byron, GA. Wed Feb 04 2026

Shaped like a wonderful amber diamond, it is certain to be the centerpiece of any room. Completely dimmable, you can create the perfect ambiance for any situation. In the early days of electrical lighting, inventors such as Thomas Edison tested and retested as they searched for long-burning filaments. In 1890, the filament choice was carbonized cotton. Bulbs have a tungsten filament, which is used to reproduce the single hairpin loop of a vintage design. Position it within a clear shade or exposed socket to enjoy its shape and ambient glow. This Edison-inspired bulb is a steampunk favorite, with its glowing cage-shaped filament surrounding the central glass support. Crafted to preserve the look of early 20th-century lighting, the incandescent vintage designer diamante 40w amber 120v medium base bulb is the perfect way to brighten a room. Please note, that these bulbs are not as bright as modern bulbs of the same wattage and are recommended for exposed socket fixtures. Glass has a golden amber tint, which can vary in degree from light to medium.

The options are limitless when it comes to Bulbrite's Nostalgic Collection. These handcrafted, vintage-style light bulbs are the perfect complement to any antique or contemporary decor. Inspired by Thomas Edison's original creation, the Nostalgic Collection offers unparalleled aesthetic appeal with an antique finish, defined steeple, and intricate filament design. The Thread series duplicates one of the most popular filament models from the early days of electrical lighting. The filament is vertically wrapped around the light adding a chic touch to any home decor.

The bulbs are very nice—they give off an amber glow and the slightly larger globe size is just what I needed and very difficult to find. I was glad they were Bulbrite, because this brand is long lasting and very high quality. Sometimes the glass on these antique bulbs is tinted very amber. These are tinted, but it’s quite subdued and you don’t see the tinting much when they are turned off. They are great for creating a cozy, warm mood. Install them in lamps on dimmers, turn them low, and they'll make your room glow orange like you have a fireplace. Note that 135 lumens is not very bright—somehow they looked less bright than other bulbs with the same lumens. My one issue was the shipping experience—they were shipped with the 4 bulbs wrapped with packing tape and an address label slapped on the side. While this shipping method might work for LED bulbs, these are thin, fragile glass. Of course, all 4 bulbs arrived destroyed. Four stars – an average of 5 for the bulbs and 3 for the seller (who eventually made it right).. Susannah. San Francisco, CA. Sun Sep 20 2026
