This is the perfect traditional floor lamp with some modern upgrades. The pole and base are a nice gold toned color, not brassy like the lamps of old. And the lampshade is a fine woven raffia, to me an upgrade from the plain white shade. The pull chains are great. You can turn on one or both of the bulbs. I thought about putting a bright bulb in one of them and a dimmer one in the other so I can get different light intensities depending on which bulb I want to turn on. The base is heavy enough to keep the lamp stable, and the entire lamp was a breeze to put together.
