This is my second purchase for this specific medallion- it is small but works in compact spaces like closets and entryways. I really like it because I use faux styrofoam ceiling tiles to cover ugly ceilings after scraping popcorn texture (and to avoid drywall repair and re-texturing). These are easily sprayed painted by the way. Plus… doesn’t every hard-working light fixture deserve a medallion Yes!. April. Creswell, OR. Mon Aug 24 2026

Ordered these to cover the cords on the wall sconces I ordered for our bedsides (we recently moved and weren't positive on how we would arrange our bedroom, so I couldn't go with hardwired sconces, and I didn't want lamps taking up precious space on our bedside tables). They work great! The only issue we are having is getting them to stay mounted where the cord comes out of the fixture. Lightweight and a solid back to easily adhere to ceiling. However, it’s not evenly split in two, so when matching the pieces up it wasn’t a clean fit. A lot of caulking required. Placed it in a way to hide the line from most frequent view. Mike. Boston, MA. Wed Apr 22 2026

I used this in a remodel of an 1880's Victorian in San Francisco. The medallion was lightweight, detailed and usable. With some of the medallions it was necessary to flatten the back to get it to mount flat on the ceiling, and the center hole sometimes is not sized for mounting a fixture with a standard ceiling box (I don't remember if this medallion had these issues or not). The light weight and robustness of the material is far better than having to deal with plaster.. Vincent P. Fri Nov 22 2019

The simple installation of this medallion is a great way to hide a hole if an opening in the ceiling is cut too large. It ended up working for us ok, but it was not as expected. The description said the sizes was a range up to 19”, but gave the orderer no place to choose a size so we were not sure exactly what would show up when it got here. What we got was a 15 3/4” medallion. It just barely fit, but we made it work after doing a bit of wall boarding.. Judith. Derry, NH. Mon Mar 09 2026
