this is my second purchase for this style of a lamp. It was easy to put together, comes with lightbulbs. It has a very sturdy base. Make your cozy home lifestyle that much more cheerful when you choose this floor lamp from our collection. It is constructed with a black metal pole body and an added off white burlap drum shade to enhance the beauty of your living room or lounge. Its slim, minimalistic frame design is a perfect choice for condensed spaces.

The Expo torchiere can illuminate any room with even up lighting. A beautiful frosted glass shade diffuses bright ambient light. An Adesso patented 300-watt double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150-watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. The brushed steel finish is complemented with chrome accents on a chunky pole that gives the lamp a bold presence in a room. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the pole to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable LED bulbs (Do not use: 3-way bulbs or CFLs). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (the high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur. Bulbs are not included.

Attractive, lights a corner of the room beautifully. Highly recommend.. Anonymous. Wed Oct 07 2026

Really pleased with these lamps! Easy to assemble, all parts came in great shape. The shade has a nice woven texture with cream and beige threads—not a bright white. Legs are matte black metal. Love, love, love it! Perfect for my new reading nook. The glass pieces below the lamp shade are beautiful and not overwhelming and they are glass! This swing-arm floor lamp lends helpful illumination as you're enjoying your favorite book or watching the next big TV series. Perfect height, size and decor!!! Love reading beside the lamp. Sharon. Roseland, NJ. Mon Dec 04 2023

The metropolis floor lamp is a sleek, contemporary style with a dramatic elegant bowl shade. It provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (the high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable lead will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur.

Perfect touch for the look that I wanted. I wanted something somewhere between spare contemporary and traditional, which is usually to heavy/fussy for me. This lamp is clean-looking but doesn't look as if it belongs in a cold medical exam-room. I think it fits into the space with a more transitional style without sticking out like a sore thumb. I'm very happy with the result. The uplighting gives the perfect effect for the vaulted ceiling. The lamp is solid and stable. The on/off switch doesn't have the flimsy feel that many others that I've purchased had, so I'm hopeful that this one will hold up longer. I took one star off because assembly was a bit frustrating; I had more than a little difficulty working the electrical cord down inside the tube enough to screw the top of the lamp down completely - a VERY tight fit that took several attempts. But the result was worth it. . Innerchild. Missouri. Fri Jul 31 2020

I’m honestly beyond disappointed in this item and Wayfairs handling of the issue. This lamp came supposedly brand new in a box you could tell was already delivered and opened and most likely returned. First we saw a huge dent in the base. When we put it all together only 2 out of 5 arms have power and light up it is so sad. They then required us to take everything apart and drag the heavy thing back to FedEx in order to get a refund. This item and Wayfair are both TRASH FIRST TIME ORDERING NEVER AGAIN.. Anonymous. Fri Nov 06 2026
