The ceiling fan we had you could not even feel it on high speed. We replaced it with this one and even on a low number on the hand held remote, I can feel it in another room. It is well made and I love the two tone with the black base and brown blades. I was looking for one with metal blades, but I do not think it would have had any more effect than this one. This can be put in reverse mode too and that helps to throw any cool air from the ac that rises, back down into the room.
