This is a substantial floor lamp. Real "heft" especially in the base. When you have dogs, this is a real concern if you're worried about the lamp tipping over and crashing to the floor. I honestly love everything about this lamp. It’s classy. It’s not too tall, it’s shorter than what I was expecting but honestly for the space I put it in, it works perfectly.
