This is such a pretty and well made lamp. It came boxed up really well, and it is nice and heavy and sturdy. The quality is much better than I even expected. The clear glass is actually glass and not plexiglass and the shade is also really nice quality. It accommodates up to 150 watts (3 way bulb) so it would be great for mood lighting in a living room, which is where I will be using it. I am happy with this lamp and think it is well made. This lamp was relatively easy to assemble with 3 parts which all screw together. The only complexity was removal the protective plastic around the product and managing the cord which ran through the center of each part. While one person could easily assemble this, it was helpful to have second person prop up the parts while being screwed together. The results speak for themselves. The lowest hanging of the 5 lights rests at about 5’3” and the highest at 6’2” as described. The light is a natural warm color which plays well against neutral tones instead of washing them out. Well the brass is really yellow so it looks less like real brass and more banana and it was scuffed on some parts (very minor around screw ends) so you can tell it's a finish. However I've placed it in a dark part of the room and it looks more realistic. It came well packed and protected thank goodness since the box was punctured in several areas. Thanks Fed Ex. The base is heavy enough to stand well on thick shag carpet (but keep it away from toddlers and hyper pets). Shade is huge but nice. Lumination is subtle during the day and definitely boosts the aura of the room. Only drawback is the switch lines up with the cord placement at the base. I have the cord facing the wall and if it were opposite it would be easier to turn on/off, although I may buy a remote controlled lightbulb to solve the issue. All in all it's a keeper.. Amanda. The lamp is pretty overall, but the pigments stained glass is a far cry from the lamps you would find made 20-30 years ago. The pigments and coloring is very opaque, and the appearance is comparatively dull and non-uniform to that of a more traditional fixture.
