Starting with the positives, I think the fan itself looks great and seems to operate fine. The main negative I had was the assembly. Im a DIY guy and Ive done just about every type of work under my roof. This was a small challenge to assemble because the instructions were not always clear and the many many parts are not labeled. I watched a video on a different fan installation just to confirm I was doing things correctly. Another negative is that the wall switch is a bit outdated looking. And someone please tell me why a wall switch that is hardwired with electricity also needs a battery inside of it Its not a backup because it doesnt work without it. Lastly, I think the site image is misleading because it shows a very long downrod. The only negative is that the remote changes the light warmth but not necessarily the brightness - there is no dimming option on remote. The second collaboration between The Modern Fan Co. and Brazilian designer, Guto Indio da Costa, the IC/Brisa is an example of what can come from intentional and meticulous attention to detail throughout the design, development, and manufacturing processes. The transition from the fan blades to the motor housing is fluid and calls forth a sense of ease and balance throughout.

They are beautiful, very sleek looking fans. As an interior designer, I’m always looking for fans that don’t interfere with the aesthetic of the room, but enhance or blend in.
